Get answers to common questions about Deep Tissue - 120 Mins.
During a Deep Tissue - 120 Mins session, expect focused, firm pressure on chronic tension spots with slower strokes and targeted techniques. Therapists check comfort, adjust pressure, and may use focused work on knots. Many clients feel progressive relief during and after the session.
Initial discomfort can occur, but our therapists prioritize communication to keep pressure therapeutic, not painful. We tailor intensity to tolerance, using breathing and techniques to minimize soreness. Expect some tenderness after a deep 120-minute session, usually subsiding within 24–72 hours.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing and hydrate well before your appointment. Avoid heavy meals or intense exercise immediately prior. Arrive a few minutes early to complete intake forms and discuss areas of concern so the therapist can customize the full 120-minute treatment.
People with recent surgery, uncontrolled hypertension, blood clotting disorders, certain skin conditions, or pregnancy should consult a physician before booking. We screen clients during intake and may recommend gentler modalities or physician clearance for safe deep tissue work.
Frequency depends on goals and recovery needs; many clients benefit from sessions every 2–4 weeks for chronic issues. Athletes or those with intense tension might schedule weekly treatments initially, then taper as mobility and pain improve.
Aftercare includes hydration, gentle stretching, rest, and applying heat to soothe muscles. Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours and consider follow-up or shorter maintenance sessions. Contact us if severe pain, swelling, or prolonged discomfort occurs.
